Who does the work

A small team, and you meet the person who writes it.

There is no account layer between you and the writer. The person who takes your brief is the person who writes, or the person who briefs the specialist who does.

Fiona Freeman

Lead writer

With Bwritr since 2017

Fiona is who a brief usually reaches first, and in most cases she is the person who writes it. Campaign and brand copy, internal news, articles, brochures, long-form print — and the estimate that comes back to you before any of it starts.

She runs the day-to-day relationship on the accounts she writes for, which is why those accounts do not need re-briefing every year. She knows the house style, the product names, the people who sign things off, and what was published last time.

Romilly Golding

Editor and proofreader

With Bwritr since 2017

Romilly is the second pair of eyes — the read that happens after the writing and before the client. Copy-editing for sense and consistency, proofreading as the last check on anything about to be published, and the technical and scientific work where a claim has to be traceable.

She also scopes and quotes. On the longer jobs — a sustainability report, a multi-article package — she is the one who works out what it actually takes before a price is agreed.

The bench

Specialists, by language

Beyond the two writers above, Bwritr works with a settled group of independent native-speaker specialists rather than a rotating pool. The same people have worked on the same accounts for years, which is why the house styles hold across languages.

  • GermanNative-speaker proofreading and adaptation
  • FrenchTranslation and copywriting, from France
  • Other languagesSpecialists brought in per project, never per rota

Everyone who writes for a Bwritr client signs a written agreement covering confidentiality and the ownership of what they produce, before any work is delivered.

Ronald Crawford

Owner

Bwritr Sàrl, Geneva, since 2017

Ronald owns the company and handles the commercial side — contracts, terms, and the questions clients' legal and procurement teams ask before a supplier is approved.

He was an intellectual property and commercial lawyer for twenty-five years first: Legal Counsel at Arsenal FC, Legal Adviser at Allied Domecq, IP Manager at Activision Blizzard. Based in Geneva. It is an unusual background for a writing agency, and it is the reason clients in regulated and brand-sensitive categories keep coming back — when a claim has to survive a legal read, that is not something we send out for.

Working with us

We are deliberately small. That means a limited number of accounts and real continuity on each — and it means we will tell you when something is outside what we can do well.
